Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of a residential apartment community in Warrensville Heights, OH.
This position involves HVAC maintenance and repair, general apartment maintenance, and ensuring units meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and capable of managing a variety of maintenance tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC inspections, maintenance, and repairs on residential units
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Complete work orders for unit repairs, turnovers, and common area maintenance
- Inspect units and identify maintenance needs during property walkthroughs
- Perform general repairs including drywall, painting, carpentry, and fixture replacement
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and parts used
- Communicate status updates and issues to the project supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a residential or apartment setting
- HVAC certification (EPA 608 or equivalent) required
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems independently
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders in a single day
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Preferred:
- Familiarity with apartment turnover processes
- Experience in a residential apartment community setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.00/hr, commensurate with experience
Work Environment
On-site position at a residential apartment community. This role requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Technicians will move between units and common areas throughout the day.

The selected candidate will be directly employed by Highland Group Professional Services. All hiring decisions, employment records, and payroll will be managed by Highland Group Professional Services.
